The memory of long lost loves, feels
Better than the love ever did
The memory of morning, noon and night,
Forgets about the pain and onesidedness of real time
The soft summer breeze bakes the heat into you
100 degree days are brushed away,
Into pleasant nights, as your memory
Of the heat sinks away
The long lost loves,
Those memories of who you were
When you were unhappy,
Seep into the summer air,
Always
And bring you back to being,
Barely more than a child,
But certainly not an adult
