On March 29, Scripps Associated Students (SAS) hosted a Mamma Mia themed party at Vita Nova Courtyard, marking a wonderful and glittery themed start to the second half of the semester. The party was equipped with colorful lights, sparkly beach balls, fabulous dancers, and DJs who carried the night with wonderfully curated soundtracks.

As usual, 5C students didn’t fail to dress accordingly. The dance floor saw some great outfits that truly captured the essence of beautiful Mediterranean Greece with white sundresses, turquoise colors, and glitter scattered throughout Vita Nova. Other students took the theme in a different turn and dressed in 70’s disco outfits with flare-bottom pants and gogo boots.

The party included wonderful dance moves that were busted out on the brick floor of the courtyard. From the dancers on the podium to the friend groups jumping around in circles, most people let loose and vibrantly danced to the beat of the music. As the dancers circled around the courtyard, the attendees participated in the never ending game of “try not to get hit by the beach ball.”

Everyone channeled their “Dancing Queen” as tunes played throughout the night.
